December was the month of plenty of predictions for 2011. Here are some of the more interesting ones I came across:
Mercyry News's Chris O'Brien predicts that Google will buy Twitter, Facebook will hit the 1B mark, and Yahoo's Bartz will be out.
Mashable.com among other things predicts that the focus on mobile for news media, personalization of news media, and social media's influence on journalism will all continue to grow.
HBR sees that social comuting will become more integrated into the fabric of companies, Facebook will lead in location based networking ahead of Foursquare.
Finally, IBM is going beyond 2011 and came out with
predictions for the next five years. IBM predicts that batteries will be smaller, lighter and last 10 times longer, a combination of GPS technologies, and real time route information will make commutes more efficient, and heat dissipated from computers will become a source of energy.
